Food Safety Training

The Centers for Disease Control estimate that 76 million people a year become ill from food they eat. And that’s in the United States alone.
Each outbreak is different but in the majority of cases, the food was contaminated at the location at which it was sold to the consumer.

Saporito Foods emphasizes its dedication to food safety by requiring all production staff to receive training on personal practices before they work on the production floor.

One of key training programs Saporito Foods has implemented is the RFA (Refrigerated Foods Association) Food Safety Training for Experienced Employees: FOOD SAFETY INITIATIVE.

Our primary focus is the prevention of Microbiological, Chemical and Physical hazards contaminating our vegetable oils, shortenings and margarine products.

The RFA training program keeps Saporito Foods ahead of the Food and Safety Initiative by providing its production staff with essential knowledge on:

  • SAFETY AND HAZARDS
  • HYGIENE
  • SANITATION
  • BUILDING MAINTENANCE
  • ALLERGENS,
  • FOOD DEFENSE
  • AUDITS
  • TRACEABILITY

In striving for excellence and quality assurance, Saporito Foods puts the health and well being of the consumer on its top priority list.
