Measuring the Fry Life of Total Sun®
TEST CONDUCTED UNDER CONTROLLED FRYING CONDITIONS: TOTAL SUN® had a lower FFA when compared to Corn Oil & similar to CANOLA PLUS ® (FREE FATTY ACID test measures how much the oil deteriorates in the fryer). TOTAL SUN® had a lower percentage of TPC when compared with Corn Oil, and a comparable percentage to CANOLA PLUS®. (TOTAL POLAR COMPOUND test (TPC) is considered to be one of the best measures of overall frying oil degradation). Potatoes fried in TOTAL SUN® have lower levels of darkening compared to those fried in Corn Oil, and comparable to those fried in CANOLA PLUS®. (HUNTER COLOUR TEST measures the darkening of oil colour that occurs from deep-frying foods).
